Virgin Atlantic is the third largest airline in the United Kingdom and the second-largest airline in Europe. It has a fleet of over 100 aircraft and serves more than 70 destinations across six continents. This company was formed by Sir Richard Branson, who first started his career when he founded Virgin Records as a record store selling rock music. The company has gone on to become one of the most well-known and profitable businesses worldwide. It was acquired by British Airways in December 2006 and was subsequently placed under the control of The Richard Branson-led Virgin group.
